Description
Sometimes I think the huge panorama view is one of the most difficult to capture. This scene is one I have done in freezing weather, fall, winter, spring and now hot summer. It is very familiar to me and a place I have visited since I was a teenager. That is a long time ago! This morning the sky was nearly cloudless, so the colors were softer and more subtle than I have seen other times. This is one of my favorite spots and is near my home. Familiarity with the scene allowed me to work quickly and to get the curve on the river accurately. It is so easy to miss that perspective and have a river that appears to rise up into the sky.
