Description
One of my favorite excursions in most foreign countries is a trip to the market. Past the hanging carcasses, the fish on ice, and the fruit, I arrive at the flower stalls. This painting was done from a row of gorgeous blue buckets filled with flowers in a market in Guatemala. Far too crowded to paint there so I made a quick sketch and did the painting back in the hotel garden.
